Titanic is one of the most romantic movie that I have yet to come across. It's about two people who meet unexpectedly and completely fall for one another, yet at the same time they have to go through many obstacles long the way. Although they are from two different worlds (actually classes but it mind as well be the same thing back then) they risk everything to be with one another.

"Promise me you'll never give up, no matter how hopeless"

The tone is what I would call an "informative, drama" because it tries to make its audience believe in true love while exposing them to historical information that they may not have looked at otherwise. At the same time is pathos because they want you to feel bad for the characters. This movie is touching in many ways such as, over 1100 people died in the sinking of Titanic and the loss that everyone must of felt. The quotes above shows the two lovers in the movie want the absolute best for each other no matter what. This is a movie that everyone should watch and if you haven't seen it you definitely should!

Jordan Sparks and Chris Brown's song is about how they can't be away from each other because if they are they feel as though they wouldn't be able to survive.

But how do you expect me
to live alone with just me
'Cause my world revolves around you
It's so hard for me to breathe

[Chorus:]
Tell me how I'm supposed to breathe with no air
Can't live, can't breathe with no air
It's how I feel whenever you ain't there
It's no air, no air
Got me out here in the water so deep
Tell me how you gonna be without me
If you ain't here, I just can't breathe
It's no air, no air

In this song, the tone seems more so as them being desperate. They want each other so bad that in their minds, they think they would die if they can't be with one another. My favorite part in this song is when they sing the chorus together because when you listen to it you can hear the desperateness in their voices.

Beyonce's song "If I were a boy" is basically her saying that she could be a better guy that the man she has at the moment.

If I were a boy
I think I could understand
How it feels to love a girl
I swear I'd be a better man

I'd listen to her
'Cause I know how it hurts
When you lose the one you wanted
'Cause he's taking you for granted
And everything you had got destroyed

When I listen to this song it makes me wonder whether girl would be better guys than guys. After listening to everything that was said in the song I agree. It would be easier for a girl to be a guy because she would understand. The tone in this song is emotional because she wishes her man could better than what he is. Whether it's the things he does to her or the things he says.

This song is by Justin Bieber is about people that are struggling in the world whether it is from those who have little to no food to those who have lost their lives fighting in a war.

Oh, oh ohhh oh [x3]
(And I pray)
I just can't sleep tonight.
Knowing that things ain't right.
It's in the papers, it's on the TV, it's everywhere that I go.
Children are crying.
Soldiers are dying
Some people don't have a home

But I know there's sunshine beyond that rain
I know there's good times behind that pain
Hey, can you tell me how I can make a change?

I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray
I close my eyes and I can see a better day
I close my eyes and pray

The artist uses pathos and tone with this song. Bieber is trying to make his audience aware of what is going on in the world by touching them and making them feel sad when you listen to the song. The tone is stern and moving when in toned with the lyrics, especially with the repetition "I close my eyes".

Maroon 5's song "Payphone" is basically talking about a love that didn't last. It's as if you wanted the relationship so much but you know it's not going to last.

I'm at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change I spent on you
Where have the times gone, baby it's all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If "Happy Ever Afters" did exist,
I would still be holding you like this
[Video:] All those fairy tales are full of shit
[Album:] All those fairy tales are full of it.
[Video:] One more fucking love song, I'll be sick.
[Album:] One more stupid love song, I'll be sick

In this song, the tone is more so sad and upsetting. Because of the fact that this song is a break up song, I would say that it has pathos. The reason why i say this is because in this song, one person what the relationship to work while the other person whats to move on. So because no one would like to go through something like that, it kind of makes you feel bad for the person.

One of Michael Jackson's song that he is very famous for is "Man In The Mirror." This song was created to help aware people that there needs to be a change in the world but it cannot work unless everyone includes themselves.

I'm gonna make a change,
For once in my life
It's gonna feel real good,
Shamone (change)
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right

As I, turn up the collar on
My favorite winter coat
This wind is blowing my mind
I see the kids in the streets,
With not enough to eat
Who am I to be blind?
Pretending not to see their needs

A summer disregard,a broken bottle top
And a one man soul
They follow each other on the wind ya' know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know

I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could have been any clearer
If you want to make the world a better place
(If you want to make the world a better place)
Take a look at yourself, and then make a change
(Take a look at yourself, and then make a change)

I like this song a lot because it has such a great message that I feel as though people all around the world needs to hear. My opinion the tone of Michael Jackson's voice in this song is more so concerned and worried that the people in need may not get the help that is required in time.

Taylor Swift's song "White Horse" is basically about how she was in a bad relationship and how it wasn't what she expected. She has wanted it to be like a fairy tale story but unfortunately, she realized it only happens in books.

Say you're sorry
That face of an angel
Comes out just when you need it to
As I paced back and forth all this time
Cause I honestly believed in you
Holding on
The days drag on
Stupid girl,
I should have known, I should have known

[Chorus:]
I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairy tale,
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet,
Lead her up the stairwell
This ain't Hollywood, this is a small town,
I was a dreamer before you went and let me down,
Now it's too late for you and your white horse to come around

Baby I was naive,
Got lost in your eyes
And never really had a chance
My mistake, I didn't know to be in love
You had to fight to have the upper hand
I had so many dreams
About you and me
Happy endings
Now I know

[Chorus:]
I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairy tale,
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet,
Lead her up the stairwell
This ain't Hollywood, this is a small town,
I was a dreamer before you went and let me down,
Now it's too late for you and your white horse to come around

And there you are on your knees,
Begging for forgiveness, begging for me
Just like I always wanted but I'm so sorry

Cause I'm not your princess, this ain't a fairytale,
I'm gonna find someone someday who might actually treat me well
This is a big world, that was a small town
There in my rear view mirror disappearing now
And it's too late for you and your white horse
Now it's too late for you and your white horse to catch me now

Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa
Try and catch me now
Oh, it's too late
To catch me now

This song is a sad song that could make you feel worse if your already in a depressing mood. Even though this song isn't an upbeated song, I still like it. Throughout this song, there the tone of Taylor Swift's voice is emotional and upsetting.
